Offering personalized nutrition and psychotherapy services that will help you heal your relationship with food and recover from an eating disorder.
The Intuitive Eating Center of Ohio was born out of a deep passion for helping people find peace with food and their bodies.
Founded by Kristen Murray in 2018, this center is a safe, welcoming space where individuals of all sizes, ages, races, gender identities, and abilities can explore their relationship with food without judgment.
Kristen, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, created the center after years of experience in hospital settings and as a nutrition instructor. She saw firsthand the struggles people faced with dieting and body image and wanted to offer a different path—one that was compassionate, personalized, and free from the pressures of diet culture.
At the Intuitive Eating Center, our focus is on helping clients become confident and happy eaters. Whether you’re dealing with Binge Eating Disorder, chronic dieting, PCOS, or just want a better relationship with food, Kristen and our team are here to support you.
We believe in a flexible, intuitive approach to health that feels right for each individual.
At The Intuitive Eating Center of Ohio, our mission is to provide access to a safe, supportive space where individuals can explore and heal their relationship with food and their bodies in a uniquely individualized way.
We are committed to empowering our clients to become confident, competent eaters who feel in control of their food choices and overall well-being.
Hi, I'm Kristen!
I'm a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor and founder of The Intuitive Eating Center of Ohio.
I opened The Intuitive Eating Center in 2018 to bring weight-inclusive and non-diet care to Ohio. Our priority is to create a safe, welcoming space for individuals of all sizes, ages, races, gender identities and abilities to support healing.
I support my clients in finding a more peaceful and flexible approach to health and nutrition that feels unique and authentic to them. I specialize in Health at Every Size® and Intuitive Eating medical nutrition therapy.
I have specific interests in supporting the healing work of those with Binge Eating Disorder, a history of chronic dieting, PCOS and poor body image.
Let’s see what this journey will look like for you!
I completed my undergraduate degree in Exercise Science at Cleveland State University and masters degree in Nutrition at University of Akron. I previously worked in a hospital setting specializing in oncology and surgery nutrition and was an adjunct nutrition instructor at Cleveland State University. I currently sit on The State Medical Board of Ohio Dietetics Advisory Council.
Hi, I’m Lindsey!
I'm a fiercely passionate Registered Dietitian, committed to helping folks integrate nutrition as one element of whole-person health and wellness.
I believe strongly in the application of Health At Every Size® (HAES®) and Intuitive Eating principles. This is the foundation of my treatment approach. By helping clients find the intersection between science and everyday life, it is my hope that folks can build trust within themselves, heal their relationships with food and their bodies, and live authentically and meaningfully.
I completed my undergraduate degree in human nutrition at The Ohio State University. After completing my degree and internship, I spent the early years of my career working as a float dietitian at a level 1 trauma center in Dayton which afforded me the opportunity to gain experience working with intensive care patients. During that same time, I also acted as the sole dietitian for a newly developed nutrition home-care program. Those early years provided me with an array of experiences and exposure. Those experiences also brought awareness of our healthcare system's failures in how we were providing nutrition therapy and the biases against marginalized populations. I chose to pursue a Masters degree in Healthcare Administration to help me better understand the inner workings of our healthcare system and possibly put me in a position to be part of making change. While completing my Masters degree, it became abundantly clear that I needed a significant career change which ultimately brought me to the world of eating disorder treatment.
In 2018, I joined the team at the Lindner Center of Hope working in partnership with Cincinnati Children's Hospital to provide inpatient and PHP eating disorder treatment to adolescents. Throughout my time at the Lindner Center, I also worked with adults receiving eating disorder treatment at the inpatient, PHP and outpatient levels of care. Working in the field of eating disorders renewed my passion as a dietitian and healthcare provider and has provided me the opportunity to be part of changing how we treat marginalized populations. Sonya Renee Taylor said it best in her book The Body Is Not an Apology: The Power of Radical Self-Love, “Equally damaging is our insistence that all bodies should be healthy. Health is not a state we owe the world. We are not less valuable, worthy, or lovable because we are not healthy. Lastly, there is no standard of health that is achievable for all bodies.”
Hi, I’m Anne!
I’m a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who has been working with individuals struggling with disordered eating, eating disorders, and emotional eating for over ten years.
I use a non-diet and Health at Every Size® (HAES®) approach.
I practice with a weight inclusive philosophy and strive to heal the client’s relationship with food and body.
I use my knowledge of nutrition science, evidence-based research, and experience of treating eating disorders to provide individualized, compassionate care to every client.
I have worked at all levels of care for treating eating disorders, which has helped me build an understanding of what clients may need in that moment. I understand the importance of collaborating with treatment providers and importance to meeting the clients where they are at within their recovery. I’m dedicated to providing a safe and inclusive space for people of all: sizes, shapes, genders, sexualities, races, religions, abilities, and backgrounds.
I grew up thirty minutes outside of Chicago and completed all my education in Illinois. I worked at a residential facility for three years which enabled me extensive on-site training. I moved to the Boston in 2014 where I continued eating disorder recovery work with The Renfrew Center and at an outpatient practice. I moved to Ohio in 2020 and am enjoying making a difference in this area.
Hi, I’m Julie!
I’m a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, a passionate Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, and Certified Diabetes Educator.
By listening to my client’s histories, challenges and experiences, I help them find a peaceful relationship with food, body, movement and self-care. Practicing from a HAES®, weight-inclusive, intuitive eating lens, allows my clients to feel empowered in the process of appreciating and listening to their body’s needs.
I also specialize in helping clients with IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), in navigating the constant influx of information for intolerance testing and dietary recommendations.
I welcome individuals of all ages, sizes, races, gender identities and abilities.
I’m beyond excited to be a part of the Intuitive Eating Center team, and support your journey in rediscovering your intuitive relationship with food and body, allowing you to begin living your life more fully.
I’ve been practicing nutrition therapy for over 10 years after finishing my bachelor’s degree in Nutrition Sciences at the University of Dayton, and my master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition at the University of Pittsburgh.
In 2017 I became a Certified Diabetes Educator, enhancing my understanding of the pathophysiology of diabetes and individualized treatment options for my clients.
I completed my yoga teacher training (RYT-200) in 2019. As a yoga teacher, I find the concepts of listening and respecting our bodies a key component for nutrition therapy and healing.
Hi, I’m Mari!
I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor.
My practice utilizes a blend of evidence-based interventions and approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I approach each session from a Health At Every Size® (HAES®) and Intuitive Eating lens and strive to create a safe space for individuals of all sizes, ages, races, gender identities, and abilities. I work in collaboration with each of my clients as we create a tailored plan for therapy that aligns with their treatment goals.
This drives my fiery passion for the work I do with my clients every day, as I truly know that recovery is achievable, beautiful, and deserved by all!
I’m so excited and honored to walk alongside you in your journey to heal and build your life worth living.
I completed my bachelor’s degree in Psychology at The Ohio State University and my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at John Carroll University.
Since earning my counseling license in 2015, I’ve worked in several outpatient settings with folks in the throes of eating disorders/disordered eating, body image preoccupation, depression, anxiety, adjustment difficulties, and personality disorders.
Hi, I’m Sina!
I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a background in working with various types of eating disorders, disordered eating behaviors, feeding disorders, and body image dissatisfaction.
In my sessions, I utilize a cognitive and dialectical behavioral approach – I believe our thoughts absolutely impact our judgment, emotions, and behaviors. And with dialectics, I help you learn and implement tools and skills to increase self-management, and give you back the control you may feel you’ve lost. The journey is scary and can be intimidating.
My goal is to work with my clients – of all sizes, ages, races, gender identities, and abilities – and help identify a plan or goal that feels realistic and authentic to meet. I follow a Health At Every Size® (HAES®) approach, collaborate with professionals with knowledge in disordered eating and body image, and provide psychoeducation, skills, and resources to improve thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
I’m excited to work with you!
I completed my bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Psychology and Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Cleveland State University.
Since graduating, I worked at a residential facility for eating disorders – where I facilitated group therapy, psychoeducation on skills and eating disorders, and provided individual therapy.
I began working at private practice and expanded my work to help individuals better their relationship with food and their body, and also increase satisfaction with life adjustments, career, anxiety and mood management, and race/cultural identity.
